High Steel Beer Co. was created with the heart and soul of the Pacific Northwest in mind. Here, we celebrate the beauty and splendor of home by sharing locally grown flavors and stories.

We are still proudly owned by Tom and Mo, the original owners of Smoking Mo’s. You can expect the same commitment to service, quality, and community that has guided our business and personal philosophy since 2007.

Our journey has evolved over the years: beginning as Smoking Mo’s, launching our brewery operation in 2021, and, after a fire in 2023, reopening fully as High Steel Beer Co. Through every chapter, our focus has remained the same—great food, craft beer, and a welcoming experience for every guest.

We are proud and honored to continue serving and being part of this wonderful community.

A few ways we try to do a little good around here!

  • Support Shelton’s Future Chefs & Brewers
    The High Steel Culinary Arts Scholarship supports Shelton students pursuing careers in the food and beverage industry.
    $4 from every Climber Burger we sell funds this scholarship.
    Scholarship funds can be used toward programs such as: Culinary Arts, Craft Brewing & Distilling, Food & Beverage Hospitality.
    Graduating Shelton Seniors apply here by May 1st

  • In honor of our family members and friends who have served, and in gratitude to all veterans of the United States Armed Forces, we created the High Steel Military Appreciation Fund.

    Guests may contribute a few dollars to the fund when closing their tab. When a veteran or active-duty service member visits and shows proof of service, we use those donations to help cover part of their meal. High Steel also contributes to the fund each year.

    If you’d like to participate, simply let your bartender know.

  • Be an honorary member of the Mug Club | Good beer for a good cause!

    Rent a Mug for $5. The entire $5 will be donated to Adopt a Pet of Shelton, WA.

• The Loft – comfortable seating for up to 14 guests
• Dining Room – seats about 40 guests
• Full Venue – accommodates around 100 guests

For larger groups, we offer buffet-style BBQ options.
